KIND HEART. WARM TOUCH. LOVING SPIRIT.

The words above embody everything we’re looking for in our caregivers. If you are service-to-others oriented, have a heart for taking care of others and are looking for a fulfilling career of which you can be proud, join the Guardian Angels caregiving team. We are actively hiring and training caregivers with all levels of experience for positions in Lincoln and surrounding areas.

Guardian Angels is locally owned and operated and has been a staple in our community for more than 20 years. We’ve built a reputation of excellence centered around first-in-class client care and treating our employees with kindness and respect.

about our caregivers

• Guardian Angels’ caregivers have an innate desire to help others and are literally at the heart of what we do. They tell us what they need in order to do their best work, and we do our best to give them the tools and information they need to excel at their work.

• We strive to match our caregiver’s personality and skills to each individual client and train them to meet your needs.

• Each visit is documented and we keep information regarding individual preferences in an electronic records management system, so that each caregiver you see has access to your history and needs. You may request to see this information at any time, and all documentation is reviewed by supervisory staff for quality assurance.

• Our caregivers are insured and bonded and meet all state and federal requirements.

• Our home office arranges the schedule for each client (and the assigned caregiver) based on preferences and need, and a member of our staff will answer the phone 24/7 so that you always have access to the information you need.

WHAT OUR caregivers PROVIDE

If you are new to caregiving as a career, you may be wondering what you might be doing on a daily basis. In general, you will be helping seniors age gracefully in their homes by providing their families some much-needed relief and peace-of-mind while becoming a valuable member of their care team. More specifically, a caregiver can provide any or all of the following:

• Companionship

• Socialization and social activities

• Meal planning and preparation

• Incidental transportation and errand running

• Light housekeeping

• Medication reminders

• Personal care support (grooming)

CAREGIVER MATCHING

Once the care plan is developed, your care manager will get to work on finding the right caregiver for you and your family. We have a large pool of trained caregivers ready for assignments – each with unique skills, experience, education, and personality.

A caregiver’s availability is also a factor during the matching process, and it’s important to know that agencies cannot always guarantee an immediate placement. Your care manager will try their best to match your loved one with a caregiver that will not only provide excellent care, but that has the potential for a meaningful relationship. That can sometimes take additional time.

No matter which caregiver is placed in your home, you can rest assured each one we hire is thoroughly vetted and trained. Unlike hiring a private caregiver on your own, you won’t have to worry about interviewing, doing background and reference checks, or taking care of insurance and taxes.

TRAINING AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

All Guardian Angels’ Caregivers attend initial orientation and training. We provide our caregivers continuing education programs covering subjects such as dementia and related diseases, ergonomics, infection control, etc. (just to name a few). Guardian Angels Home Care provides Companion Aide certification for non-licensed staff. Regular reviews and performance evaluations are provided to each caregiver in order for us all to continually learn, grow, and provide the best care possible. Guardian Angels’ caregivers undergo regular reviews of both their work and their documentation for each caregiving visit to ensure that they are meeting Guardian Angels home care standards of service, and that our staff is providing each family and caregiver the support they need.
